North shore German

Does anyone how the north shore is on German lake ? how has the crappie fishing been from shore in the last few years? I read that its good even before all the ice is out. If you don't want to let the word out too much shhot me an email at [email protected]

I don't fish crappies much but I will say that one could certainly wade out right know, ice is looking pretty weak on that lake, unless the wind switches and pushes the ice back you could probably land a small boat and fish that whole shoreline as of today.

O.K the ice shifted, it's going to be awhile as the access is piling up the shore ice.

Have you ever heard about crappie fishing on that shore even when there is ice still on the lake?

Cant really say I have, but that area is prime spawning grounds for the pannies in general, lots of sandy areas, German doesn't seem to see much traffic from know until the opener. I usually drive by that lake everyday and never can recall seeing alot of traffic there in the years past, I think the crappies in that shallow is a little ways away, we need some warmer temps, seems to be a few other lakes near that one that produce well at this time period, maybe that takes away from it.

what kinda job you got that you are still up this late on sunday night?

Well I spent three years selling real estate full time and as of Jan 1st have since left that, yes realtors can lose money. so I've been working part time until construction season to start and will be going back to that in a few weeks.

If anyone's wondering what the ice out on German is it doesn't look good, although the lake is opening up fast, the access has about a 3 foot high by 20 feet deep by 100 foot long stretch of ice that got pushed in and piled up at the access. Hopefully it'll melt quick but I have a feeling it's going to be a little longer know. At least to get a boat in.
