I was out checking some lakes tonight and saw the gentleman put in his boat at thew DNR access. I didn't stay to see where he went but I'm sure it wasn't the narrows---had to be right out in front of the landing or the small bay to the east. Hope he caught some!!

Just drove by it this morning still alot of ice out there I don't now how you could get a boat to the narrows unless you drug a small one to point pleasant.

I was out there making sure everything was up to par. Last year I bought a new locater color screen I was having some issues with the arches, pretty sure it is the transducer mounting position if anyone has any good tricks or has experienced the same problem some advice would be appreciated. I want to be ready for the action I will be out there again wend. doing some final tweaks and a line may fall over board.

Hookey,

your "relieable source" isn't cross eyed or nothing like that is the person? because the narrows is kinda close to the dnr access . I could see that getting mixed up. lol jk

You want the bottom of your transducer to be flush with the bottom of your hull and a fair distance from any turbulence that may be created by the motor.

Madison should be about done by tomorrow with all this wind. There isn't even much piling up on the shoreline, it's going so fast.

We stopped by our sponsors place and spent some money on all sorts of fun fishing stuff. Let's say we were doing Retail therapy for having to send in a BIG check to State and Federal.

Yeah that lake really changed from going to work at 6:30 this morning and coming home at 5. It went from iced over to almost completly white caps. I have a dollar be on it being completly open by the end of the week so it looks like a be a whole dollar richer.

Another thought on your transducer---if your boat has rivets you may want to see that your transducer is not directly behind a row of them. These too, can cause enough turbulance to send some strange signals to your screen.

Madison will have no ice by this afternoon. Washington is open too. Pulled into westwood this morning. Everything that you can see from there is open water. I'm sure bakers bay is open too with the south wind. Emily is open too as well as German.

Madison is open except for some in the town bay but that will be gone today. I drive by it at least twice a day. So you have my word it is fishable.
