Any of you Norman boys know if the farm off 23 sold at auction on the 5th. The old Olson farm.

Not sure if it sold or not, but my hometown is Ada and I grew up on hwy 23(parents still live there). I could find out with a quick phone call if you haven't found out yet. Which farm is it excactly? There are a few farm sites on that hwy that are abandoned and everyone seems to have a different name for each one.

As your going down 23 towards gary it's just before the winding turns. It was merkels don't know if the spelling is right. Past Green's farm. It used to be Arnie Olson's years back. It is'nt abandoned he just died a short time ago. God rest his soul. his son own's it and was selling. Thanks ZachP I appreciate it!! Hope it's no trouble!

A friend of mine bought the one that didn't sell on the auction. I believe they bought 80-120 acres. It was a mix of swamp and grass. Not sure if everything was sold but I am pretty sure they bought the last of it.

Thanks HunterLee, I think I know the piece your talking about its across the road from the farm stead. I know the property was divided into three pieces. The piece across the road. the farm stead with around 130 crp. and the tillable with woods arond 200 and some change. The tillable was sold but I heard a rumor it was back up for sale. the piece I was wondering about is the farm stead. Thanks for the help!

Not 100% positive but my source is pretty sure the farmstead sold. I know the site you're talking about, we've always called it Merkels.
