Grays Bay

What are the chances Grays Bay launch will be open by the 19th?

If the gate was open a guy could get a small boat in and work the channel, shoreline and moaring area.

In late March of 2001, during one of the more mild winters, I was able to find open water under the bridge near the old launch. I could easily cast onto the ice with what little open water there was, but it was glorious to be casting at all that early in the year.

I drove over the bridge and I noticed that you could probably do exactly what you're talking about right now. The entire area from the causeway landing to the boat landing and mooring area is open.

I was water skiing on March 24 in 2001 on West Arm Bay on Tonka.........This year will probably end up being atleast a month later than that........
