Sorry Brew Crew todays trade by the Cubs sealed the Deal for the Cubbies.... Pencil them in for the division title for sure.

Wild Card is not out of the question though!

CC pitched a pretty nice game. Snagged a heck of liner for a double play. It will be interesting with the Cubbies snaring Harden!

11 Ks for Sheets in 6 innings last night and he gets the loss. Rather than bring in Mota again, maybe they could just set up a tee at home plate, probably get the same results. sick

Mota has been less than stellar lately to say the least....I didn't catch any of the game last night but from the post am assuming it was sickening. Getting ready to fire up Uecker for this afternoons game.

CC has made his first week debut and what a debut it was. 2 wins and a yard sale!

Hopefully the brewers break the no playoff streak this year because the Laporta loss could really hurt in a few years.

Tough game tonight for the Crew with Lohse on the mound and Suppan coming off the DL. An unimpressive, but important win last night. I was hoping to split the 4 games, with last nights win and Sabathia and Sheets coming up tomorrow and Thurs night they should be able to pull that off - 3 of 4 would be huge.

Brewers need to win their games against the cubs and cards and they will be Central champs...

It will be time to party like its 1982!

This division is far from settled.

There is so much time left anything can happen.

Injuries, hot streaks, cold streaks....too much time left to get excited yet.

Cubs will send a message when they sweep the brew next week smile

GO CUBS GO!

Sabathia, Sheets, Parra, Mcclung VS Lilly, Zambrano, Dempster, Harden

Should be a darn good series!

Brewers are making a case for being the hottest team in baseball right now and Melvin is not likely done making moves.

A brewers sweet would really get cub-nation squawking!

Hopefully they can keep the momentum going - it would be great to head to Chicago with at least 3 out of 4 from St Louis....no reason that shouldn't happen with the first two out of the way.

I have to hand it to CC...what a pick-up for the Brewers. He has completely taken over every game he pitches. Unbelievable.

Meanwhile my Cubs are suffering from an anemic offense.

I was hoping the ex-Brew Davis could've got the win against the Cubs last night - oh well. See how Sheets does tonight.

I hope it remains anemic, big series starting tonight with CC on the mound against Lily.

I miss the old AL with the Brew Crew. I cheer for them every time they are not playing the Twins. I cheer for anybody but the Cubs. Go CC and the BREW CREW!!!!!

Big game tonight smile

I think it's time for CC to be handed his 1st loss. Lets hope he does as well as the last time he faced the Cubs. Baseballs were flying everywhere! smile

After watching last night's game...I realized how glad I was to see Jason Kendall leave the Cubs. He has a horrible throwing arm and his offense has quite a bit to be desired.

He might call a good game but that's it.

Wow, Cubs are dominating the series thus far - the Crew needs to pull at least one win out of this.

eithere team is way too good to let this series decide the rest of the season....anything can happen in late August and September. The way the Cubs were playing last week....I never would have dreamed they would win the first 3 games of this series.

Not a good pitching matchup for the Crew tonight, hope for the best, expect the worst.

Another complete game by Sabathia last night and the bats came alive. Looks like Braun may have reinjured his rib cage muscle or what ever it is.

Durn Cubs just keep on winning, they have a great ball team. The division would be nice but a wildcard will work for the Crew. Still lots of ball left to play. Got Ben on the mound tonight and a day game for me to listen to on the radio tomorrow at work.

What's up with Sheets? He hasn't pitched well since they signed CC. Of course he doesn't seem to get a lot of run support and he hurt his own cause last night by not being able to get a bunt down.

Watching some of the game last night the Crew still makes too many 'little league' mistakes, as my dad likes to call them. Don't know who else to blame other than Yost and the rest of the staff.

Nonetheless a good win for them today, hopefully they can kick the Pirates around come Friday.
