Ice in the rivers?

Has anyone heard or seen if there is still ice in the rivers along the North Shore? A buddy and myself are headed up that way Thursday evening and Friday for some fishing and are interested in the Lester and Talmadge rivers. We will be targeting trout and salmon for the first time. Thanks in advance for any reports.

We drove up to Two Harbors Sat and the rivers were starting to break up but there is still quite a bit of ice on the rivers. It will probably be fishable but a week from now should be better.

Went all over the great north today.Some rivers open and some with some nice depth on to the ice. Of course a couple starting this snow is screwing things up.
