Had to call it quits

Saw the local shorelines yesterday and the black ice everywhere so I decided to call it quits for this season. Can't wait till open water. I found alot of potential spots for open water. Ice will be off shortly, by the looks of it.

i saw 2 people on the ice DURING THE RAIN on Cedar Lake near New Prague yesterday. i halfway expected to read about them in a new "Darwin Awards" Book. it was extremely unsafe BEFORE yesterday.

Lol, I think I may know who was on the ice during the rain, I will have to ask them about it. And BTW I was on that lake Saturday and there about 18 inches with shorelines still froze in most spots, I walked right out with no trouble.

I cleaned all my gear up today, made sure the Voyeager was clean and dry and made a nice lift for the house and put it to the ceiling in the garage. Was a good season, but sure don't feel like swimming.

went to some area lakes and if someone was really itching to ice fish and had a long rope they could get on madison at the dnr access. me and a buddy took a cruze lastnight and we walked out about 150 feet north and we didn't swim so.... I wanted to try it but i gotta watch the kid.

The ice was half as thick sunday morning as it was on friday afternoon! we had the wheeler out friday and there was atleast 6 other ones by us .

I was on on Saturday, not Friday. And I know what the rain did to the ice, thats why I did not even THINK about going out on Sunday. Also I agree that those people are crazy because there isn't a fish in Cedar (or in any lake) worth going swimming for.
