Two years ago my dad caught 2 suckers on Big C. They came up off the bottom and hit a buckshot like they were walleyes. The second one follow the jig up about 6 feet. If I wasn't there, I wouldn't believe it.

was on barrett lake my home town, in eight feet of water. deadhead know of some really sweet spots where the suckers are thick as ticks in summer if your interested it's by alexandria.

You can sit on any dock during the fist few weeks of May on Big Cormorant and see suckers by the hundreds running in the shallows all day, especially on the south side were it is really sunny.

panman, send me the info on that spot. Flyrodding suckers are a blast, but I'd like to be able to catch them through the ice. It's something different from the typical crappie scene.
