By the way Sylvia has been talked up over the last two months one would think so. The terms Slab and Bull have been used often in this forum to describe the panfish, and to me Slab and Bull means 14" crappies and 10" sunfish. Is it really that good, I doubt it, but there are lakes in this state where fish like that exist in numbers. Maybe this is one of them. If my perception of this lake is way off, those of you reporting your success may want to be careful how you describe your catches. Otherwise you won't be alone for long.

And for the guys that want to EAT the fish out of the lakes.

These lakes the fish have WORMS! GROSS STAY AWAY FROM WORMS.

The one lake of the two will be gone in 5 years so all the guys that drive to red lake it is closer than you think.

BIG CRAPPIE FISH THE LAKE OUT!

for the rest of you ladies , dont always believe everything you read . it could be just a few guys having fun with each other ... there are big fish in every lake you just have to take the time to find them yourself . dont rely on others reports to find fish , half the fun of catching fish is finding them , not letting others do it for you....

Hey Noodlerod, your going to disappoint a lot of tourists with your fishing reports \:\) either that or your going to have to put your boat into stealth mode as everybody will be hunting you down on the water, much like looking for duckmans truck on the ice!!! I hear that our local DNR officer pinched a few guys towards the end of the ice season this year for over limits. Glad to hear that he is out and about. Told him to feel free to use my deck as an observation platform any time he wants. He was very interested....and will come in handy now that all these people will be coming out ot catch all the Paul Bunyan sized fish out here. See you on the lake, I'll be the one in the small brown duck boat, or maybe one of the other vessels in my fleet \:\)

Those worms will not harm you. They are called yellow grub you can find out info on the DNR website and I believe they are brought in by Blue Herons. They are a parasite not a worm and I bet you eat panfish with black spots on the fillet

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!

I agree on the choices.   I didn't mean to say that a battery auger was better or greener or whatever.  I could care less about that.   It just seems that "most" ice anglers have made a switch to a battery auger in recent years.  That's all I was saying.  I know about a dozen people who regularly ice fish and they all have battery augers now.  I bet if you conducted a survey of all ice anglers, the majority would answer that they use a battery powered auger.

Best weed eater I've ever run with great longevity is Echo, I'd check them out

Hey government,  Just give us choices. I don’t care what people use as long as as it works for you. I’m needing a new weed eater. Plan on a Stihl FS 40 easy start. I’m done with the cheaper brands. Just don’t last long enough.  Probably true with the Stormy Daniels of the world as well. Cheaper don’t last long enough 🤭

If you turn on a movie they survive the 20min ride just fine. After many controlled experiments, I've found that they survive much better if you show "Finding Nemo" instead of "Jaws."

Quick update: Lucky 7 now has rainbows, fatheads, crappie and light pike in stock. If I remember correctly, scoop of rainbows was $8.99.  Stopped at L&M in Virginia. Rainbows $6.99, fatheads and crappie minnows (scoop) $3.99. I was billed $6.99 dozen for rainbows, but was given a healthy scoop!
