canoe rental

2 posts in this topic

Hello all,

I have a friend coming to visit St. Paul mid June. He wants me to show him what all the fuss is about bass fishing here. Wondering what lakes people would suggest where we could rent a canoe in the Metro and catch some bass? Thanks

Fishcat - I would hit either Waconia or Minnetonka... As for rentals I would bump up to a small 14'-16' you'll be much more comfortable. On both lakes just talk to the boys at the Marinas and they will send you towards the fish! Good luck and we'll see ya on the water.

Quite abit of new tackle, along with some different plastics options this year. Some of the new products have proven itself on soft water while doing some recon during the past few weeks, fishing first ice spots. Fine tuning "spots on the spot" can pay off big time, before fish become spooky from noise of crowds, which more times then not, makes them less willing to bite, and can make them move to other key locations nearby.

I'll bet this lure will get a lot of bites! It may even catch a few fish! Does look interesting. Cliff
