Been looking but haven't seen the latest. Does anybody know the latest on possibly fishing with 2 lines during open water in MN. Thanks

TWo lines for one person is illegal in open water. On ice you can have two. If that is what your asking?

He was referring to the discussion in the legislature this past session over changing the open water law to allow 2 lines per angler. I heard the same as you LoonASea.

I crossed over to the dark side of smallies about 15 years ago. Mostly chase pannies in winter but used to chase eyes a few times on the hard water each season.   I could post a ton of pics if you need more proof.

Sorry to make you hold up a bottom feeder, but we needed to see it!

I was up over the weekend and my shoreline was getting pretty sketchy.  Had a pocket of open water down the shore about a 100 yards. Where I could see the bottom in two to three feet of water.  Walked out about a hundred yards and popped four holes Saturday afternoon. There was 17- 18.5"s of ice in those four holes. Looking at the forecast I can't see the ice sticking around too much longer.  The holes I popped had 5-6" of pretty mushy cloudy stuff on top and about 12"s of pretty solid stuff underneath it.
