Where to buy a used Merc 115

10 posts in this topic

Mine went bad, where is a good reliable place to buy one. Mine was a '81 so somewhere in that year, I could go up to a 150 if the $ is right. Thanks

I would give Val a call and see what he has on hand. He has much inventory and it would be worth the call.

Been looking thru all that stuff, If I go with the merc I have the controls and tilt and trim. I am considering a rebuilt for around $2500, just looking for the best deal.

I seriously doubt you can get anything for $ 150.00. I am sure you meant $ 1,500.00

This time of the year is really tough to find motors.

Valv, I think he means he can go up to 150hp if the price is right.

Yes I did, but I ended up finding a old boat with a '94 115 Mariner and a bunch of other goodies for a real good price. If anyone is in need of an older boat and trailer I will have one for cheap(almost free) when I am done.

I'm pretty sure the old owner Jack still owns the property and leases to the landing. I live close and with an inclusive business plan I think it would do fantastic. When jack ran it the place was packed. The owner of wolf bay lodge told me his business tripled since the landing changed hands. There is plenty of demand for a fun place to go that treats everyone the same whether they are rich or not, local or tourist. I've owned a few businesses in this area and there aren't enough extra customers that you can afford to get rid of anyone. Why anyone would want to is beyond me.
