Where are you staying? I am heading up on the 2nd for a week. We will be at Royal Starr on 6th. We do more bass and walleye fishing, but will see if the crappie are biting. There is a lot of underwater wood up shallow - tree roots, etc. that we have had good luck with in early June. Also - there is a large point on 5th Crow directly across from what is now an RV camper area. The end of the point drops off quickly to 18+ feet and we see a lot of crappie hanging off the edge of that point. Small jigs with minnows or wax worms is what we use typically for crappie and bluegills.

Strange indeed... Try looking for much more slack water compared to the beech you were yesterday and today. The West side of the dam was on fire this afternoon; a friend and I were in the double digits within an hour.

I just signed the petition "Robbinsdale Armstrong High School Athletic Director: Allow Trap/Skeet Participants to Earn a Chenille Letter." and wanted to see if you could help by adding your name.

Our goal is to reach 500 signatures and we need more support. You can read more and sign the petition here:

fished a different spot today and it was strange, I was using crawlers and a lot of eyes bit and only 1 sucker.  guy next to me was using earthworms and he caught a lot of suckers and 1 eye.  twilight zone ! !  LOL  I just use a slpit shot most of the time.

All we ever use is a few bigger spilt shots and float/bobber with crawlers.
