Summer fish house rental

5 posts in this topic

Anyone know where I might be able to rent a summer fish house (with electricity) and have access to a bath house on the big pond? I stayed at a resort located on the south side of the lake a few years back that had this and for the life of me I cannot recall which one it is. I have a photo though, showing that the resorts rental pontoon had "Whispering Bay" painted on the side if this helps. Anyone?

If you're looking for the south side I can't help you, but if you are don't care where you go I know Garrison Sports rents fish houses for the summer or monthly. Laundromat is close, you get electric and an A/C, they treat you pretty good for a dirt cheap price. Had and have some friends that have and are working up there.

How long do you plan to stay?

Flagship? Someobdy mentioned that they or someone they knew were renting ice houses there....Not really familiar with the place though. Lower East side of the lake.

Seeing it's only your second year find buddy to go with as rock said. I even bring a second set of dry clothes and footwear. I am to big mess with thin ice I need 6 inches as rick said early varies so much so some where there is half as much ice.    Safety gear check include ice cleats as i have seen enough broken arms happen. Check your gear test the vexilar hook it up and turn it on to see if it runs or just hook up the charger. I use the drill plate so I charge all my batteries and with blade protecter on I make sure it works. My little sled is ready to haul my gear.    I go light during early ice so fill so fill up my plactics container and restock my jig boxes. Make sure my set ups have new line and pick my favorite set ups to take with. I can add some photos later

Lets say you have 1.5 ah batteries now and you drilled one and a half holes per battery. Unless that ice was 50' thick, have dull blades and your auger is 8, or bigger that's not a drill you want to put more money into.  So give us some info on your auger and how many in lbs of torque is your drill?
