What Gives??

I cant believe the lack of chatter on here. No one is on here talking about how they are going to get'em on opener. Everyone must going through the tackle box putting the hooks on safety pins (thanks walli I really do like that idea) checking line and so forth.

I know I could go for some more of Walli's early morning pictures. laugh.gif

Walli... I look at these picture almost everyday... I'm so jacked right now for opener! Got all my rods out, respooling everything (going with fireline crystal/vanish leaders), lubing up the reels, polishing the boat (gotta get the Pool 4 grime off the sides!), reorganizing the tackle box (thanks for the safety pin idea!).... This is going to be such a slow week - feel like a kid the week before Christmas!!!

I really like fireline crystal 4lb I use it on my jig rods, no leader, it allows me to use lighter jigs, plus its really sensitive and no strech, I'm going to be rounding up bait this weekend hopefully, shinners are starting to run so it should be easy pickins, I'm going to hook up with my brothers most likely, we should be able to fill our bait tanks, have to stay ahead of the game. Ten days till opener, can you feel it!! cool.gifcool.gif

What about Super America at Pike Lake? I think they do the same, with better hours. they refill out of big tank.

Nice thats what I like to hear, was doing an annual trip to LOW with my buddies, but to be quite honest biggest fish I ever saw in 10 plus trips was 27 inches, I caught 3 bigger than that on the pond last year, and hey I can stay in Wright county where I live and catch 10 inch walleyes.. I don't make it up to that end of the lake ever, usually fish the south end..Bought a wheel house this year, would loke to set it up as base camp and hopefully be able to head up toward that end and do some exploring..And thanks for the input, thinking there is a lot of readers and not many writers on this site nowadays...

Lake Marion is completely iced over. Hopefully we won't get much snow and be fishing soon.

Silver lake in New Brighton is iced over. I'm going to count one week before checking thickness on my early ice spots. Could be fishing next Friday if all goes well.
