I will be heading to a Lake somewhere in Hubbard county.. Come rain or shine a limit of eye's will be mine. Nothing better than coming in around noon sitting around the wood burning stove in the garage <which seems to always be needed and talking about the mornings events.

Mille Lacs, North End. Rain or Shine. It can't come soon enough.

Now this would be a pretty boring post if we were all as mysterious.

I will be on Mille Lacs along with the thousands of other people. Anyone want to place bets that it will be raining? Never fails!! The only good thing about a rainy opener is it normally keeps the numbers of boats down a little.

St. Louis River for me. 5 minutes from my house and awesome walleye fishing. Ill probably have more fish in the 1st hour than most will catch all day. grin.gif

Hmm... I don't really want to fight the crowds, so I'm not heading to one of the big walleye lakes. If I go on Saturday, it will be on a lake that isn't likely to be overly packed. I'm thinking I might even go to a pike lake and skip the eyes altogether on Saturday shocked.gif then on Sunday or Monday go for the eyes. Maybe Tonka or Waconia? Still have a few more days to decide what I'm going to do... tongue.gif

I will be on Mille Lacs N. of Garrison... A good rain from 2pm till midnight Friday is my only hope. I don't mind if a few people decide to wait till Morning. Then to a couple lakes close by. Should be a great weekend any way it works out to be.

Which opener? There are three for me: Border waters, Wisconsin, and Minnesota.

Well they already have the gas powered drink blenders for the beach, Mike. 🤙

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
