How far down has the river opened up? Is it open to the Pinewood Church area yet?

Jason - are you planning on heading up? Have you been there yet this year? I'm hoping to sneak up Sunday but it's going to be a last minute deal.

I haven't been up yet. I was planning a late March run but the weather delayed everything. I keep trying to talk myself into making a daytrip, but I still need to get a few things done around the store. The weather looks great the next few days. We'll see I guess. Sounds like the fish are really snapping.

River is down a couple of miles below Frontier to the area we call smugglers cove, some call it "high banks". I think a mile or 2 from Pinewood but not making much progress.

Hey, Here a quick update on actual ice thickness or snow cover on trout. 14 inchs of ice pressure ridge out there. if you are  on a snowmobile if traveling fast on it watch for it. Truck or car i do not recommend on trout with pressure ridge. And yes i have been on the whitefish chain this year in truck. just not on trout. just my 2 cents

Thanks for the info everyone. And Borch that is good to know too.  I try to spend 2-3 hours looking on cedar each trip, but It's a lot of water to break down , and having only been out hardwater cattin 6 times so far I still have a lot to learn.  Generally I spend a lot of my 3 hours losing confidence and then wind up at the meth hole to catch a few .  Putting in the work is what makes it so fun once it all comes together though!
