Whats everyone quit fishin?

Spring fishin is goin grin.gif I've been dock fishin got some crappie & sunnie,Down on Mn. river some sheepies,just for fun Its high H2O.Been watchin the nothern run on the crow it just started.When this rain stops the 14ft. boat is goin in on Diamond,as of yesterday I could fish 1/2 the lake the bays have been open for a week.Crappie should pick up north shore by the park soon I'll be there.Anyone open H2O fishin Yet laugh.gif

Got the john boat ready. the big boat is still waiting for carpet the was supposed to be here last week frown.gif Hopefully I will get out this coming week.

Just got the call that my boat is ready to pickup! I had a tune up done and the lower end needed a new seal. I am ready to get out there.

      I have a few different rods. The one i was originally referring to i am using for crankbaits.  i have a jig and worm rod as well. I have mastered the cast, just trying to learn more about leaders. Thanks! Do you recommend i use 17# test for my worm and jig rod?

      As far as I know walleyes are native to almost every lake that they are found in up north. Cliff

      Interesting point, BT.  I think our houses caught one perch this year, and I can't say that I knowingly marked one small one (except for when I was down in the bays on the south side).  I have no doubt that they are still in the lake, but I just ain't seeing any.

      Are walleyes even native to vermilion? Pretty much every lake in northeast Minnesota had walleyes introduced to them in the last 50 to 100 years. If walleyes weren't native to vermilion, saugers certainly wouldn't have been native either. Sauger numbers seem to shrink the farther east each lake gets from Rainy Lake.
