I'm wondering if chief wooden frog campground on kabetogama has reserve sites or if it's all first come first serve?

It is first come first serve, but it is rarely completely full....should be able to get a site anytime except maybe the 4th of July or Labor day.

Thanks for the info. I've camped there a couple times, but it was during the week. But yeah, it is huge! Almost totally empty the 2 times I've been there. I'll be there memorial weekend, I think I'll get there early enough friday morning to get a good spot.

The only issue there is that you have to take the boat out of the lake and re-launch it the next day. I wish they had more sites right on the water. Have fun. It is very nice there.

Leech, we're getting out feet wet then we can post within topics. Glem,  What will help you are trolling boards and rod holders.  I use a mast and main line board system but Inline boards work and a lot of guys use them and something for you to consider. Some stick baits to consider are Bombers, Brads, X Raps, Husky Jerks.  Spoons- Jim's Flashbacks, Moonshine.  Patterns/Colors- Pink, Purple, Monkey Puke, 57 Chevy, Pink Lemonade, Water Melon are just a few.  Superior is color specific like no other body of water so it pays to have a variety. Speed can also be critical in getting a strike and then you have to think about was it the rise or fall within the column that was responsible.   Last year you'd catch me at 3mph pulling sticks which isn't the norm.

Shorelander trailers are assembled right next door to Lunds. The serial # on the trailers are assigned a boat serial # after they are delivered.  All Lunds and Crestliners leave the factory on Shorelander trailers. With the exception of a dealer occasionally picking up just the boat itself.

Try giving Modern Assemblies in New York Mills, Mn a call.  They are the ones that built those seats for Lund. The can probably rebuild them for you to original. They do nice work at a reasonable price.

I've been out shore fishing a couple times at Hidden Falls and Minnehaha up to the dam.  Been really slow for me too.  Going out again this morning for the first time in a couple weeks.  Hoping to find a better bite as I've been hearing slightly better reports from boaters in the area.
