Used gun parts??

8 posts in this topic

I looked last fall, and didnt find one that I wanted to pay the amount they were asking. Im looking for a used forearm for a remington 30.06 semi auto. I dont want to blow it off untill fall again, so where would be a good place to look for used gun parts?

If I were you, I would buy the composit stock or forarm. They might not look as nice as wood, but they don't split out on you like wood does. They are cheaper than wood to. I have been going that way on the guns I bounce around a lot. CAJ

What model are you looking for?? I've got a wrecked #742 that the wood forearm is in excellent shape. My 742 hit the same problem they all did with the chambers and can't be fixed so you are welcome to it.

101winchester: I've got a 30 year old 742 thats never given me any trouble. The front sight was damaged years ago when a chicago screw on the sling came loose. The barrel dropped to the ground and bent the sight. I've never taken the time to replace it. Would you be willing to salvage me the sight off of yours?

OK guys, We have a wanted section and a for sale section. 4wanderingeyes, your post isn't against rules but it close.

Please refrain from starting anymore "where to buy" threads because you and I know where they lead to. I realize that your looking for a hard to find gun part. When that part materializes its hard to resist conducting business outside the proper forums. In the future please don't make me look like the bad guy when you try and sidestep policy. Place an ad when your looking to buy. Now I see 3 guys here that can help each other out. Get it done quickly and donate what you'd have paid for and ad to a Cub Scout Den or something.

Sorry I wasnt trying to break any rules, I was more looking for an possible gun store that may stock used guns, and parts. Thats why I posted it in the hunting section, I figured hunters would know where to get a gun repaired or parts for one.

Grand prize for fishing is a Marcum flasher, a Clam X200 flip over thermal and an Eskimo auger! Come on out Saturday, February 4th, noon to 3pm. Line up early for a good spot, the tent will open by 9am with beverages (alcohol and non-alcohol), food and raffle tickets. The raffle is the LCRA's winter raffle. $5 tickets, grand prize is a trip to Vegas and $1,000 cash! You don't have to be present to win in the raffle, that will be drawn after the prizes for the fishing contest around 4pm that day.   The Little Canada Recreation Association is a non-profit group that raises money to offset registration fees for youth in the Little Canada, Roseville, Maplewood and Vadnais Heights areas. So as far as live bait rigging what works best? Shiners? Suckers? Fatheads? As far as this time of year goes.
