GPS/Sonar combo clearance

7 posts in this topic

Gander has the Eagle FishElite 642c on clearance for $512. A 10% off coupon gets you another $50 off. Use a Gander card and get $25 back. Got the 642c and 3 muskie baits and a trailer jack and total was $520 after tax and a $25 voucher I had. Not bad.

Where did you get the 10% off coupon?

It was a junk mail mailer from Gander. They come every so often. I think because I have a Gander card?..? It is just a sinlge piece or thick paper card, like Cabelas does now and then.

Yeah if you have a Gander mastercard they will send you 10% off coupons in the mail occasionally. Plus those $25 rewards for using the cards are nice, too.

Called Russ, he said his were on clearance also. Its a unit they no longer make....a newer model has come out. Russ is sold out also.

Owell, i'm sold on a different Lowerance model anyways....just need to find the cash to purchase, the time to install, and learn the model. Russ will get that business. I need the lakemaster chip anyways. Do you have that Steve? I'm interested in seeing if parts of Lake Sakawejia in ND are included on there for when i go home....

If not, i'm sure Russ might have one he can put in his demo units for me to check out...

I also needed to buy a receiver so my total cost was $500 but they did have them at Scheels beginning of the year but you can buy it from dish. I think they charge $7 a month for use of the receiver.

I was out last night in west metro and the water had mostly either frozen again or gone down the open holes. I was pleasantly surprised. We lost about an inch of ice though the top few inches were starting to soften.

I would build a frame that your current otter sled would fit in that has downhill skis on the bottom of it.  I did this for my setup that is very similar to yours, I can pull 100 pounds through 8" of snow with very little effort.  Side note I wouldn't pull it with a four wheeler, mine slides to easy and wants to hit the back of the wheeler when I try to stop.

I've got an Eskimo 949I which I love. We occasionally go deep off the trail to isolated lakes and my otter sled is too much like dragging an anchor when we break new trail or if there is deeper snow on the ice. I am in search of a slender long sled that pulls easier and can still accommodate my hub house, auger, buckets, poles etc.   ive looked at gander, FF, cabelas, Joe's and the like without finding exactly what I want. Does anyone know of a sled that fits my description?  Thanks and tight lines.
