1 post in this topic

Hey FM'ers,

The culinary skills and expertise of Dirty Biker, 2X4, and me, Harmonica Bear, will be on display next weekend Sunday 3/11/07

The Ham Lake Sportsman's Club is having our annual Wild Game Feed (as well as a turkey shoot) this Sunday 3/11/07 from Noon until 3:00 pm (shooting until 5). We welcome any and all of you to stop by and enjoy some great wild game dishes. The menu this year is beyond compare:

Grilled marinated venison (elk or moose if available)

Smoked venison (elk or moose if available)

Venison Chile

Venison Salisbury steak with sauce

Mushroom, zucchini and leek cream sauce venison meatballs

Polynesian venison meatballs

Venison / elk stir-fry

Venison / moose Burritos/Taco’s

Venison Dago’s

Venison kabobs

Venison summer sausage

Venison stew

Pheasant wild rice soup

Pheasant in Chipotle sauce with pasta

Grilled marinated pheasant

Pickled northern pike

Venison jerky

The Game Feed is free, although donations are accepted. Beverages will be available as well. Our club is located in Ham Lake, 1 and 1/4 mile east of Hwy 65 (Central) on Constance Blvd. Come early if you can!

Hope to see some of you there.

Mike Baermann a.k.a. Harmonica Bear

Lengths were a little tough to figure out without stressing the fish.  My board only goes to 24 and that wasn't enough.   I did tare my digital scale with the hoop of my rubber net and weighed em in that.  One was 6; the other 8.4.  I had another 24 incher earlier in the day but didn't weigh it.   We got 1 pike and severa smallies too but let everything go since fish wasn't on the menu this weekend.

First place to look would any of the local dams. Gull river, Mississippi, Crosslake, all have fish throughout the year.   There are a few piers to try as well.

Hello guys I'm new to this site and sorta new to the area. We do not yet have a boat so the family is trying to find some decent shoreline fishing in the area. Has anyone heard any shoreline reports?
