Wondering if anyone has been having any luck with crappies out on the lake.. i know there are some biggies out there, we usually do very well right after ice out, but ive never tried seaching during the late seaon ice...any info would be apprecited................norm

      Sorry, been offline for a while. Yes you can STILL drive out there if you're brave. I've seen people do it last night and they are probably still driving out there today. I'm going to go check in a bit, fishing has been pretty stellar as of late.

      That poor crappie will feed my grandma just fine @leech~~ I can't help it was not smaller or bigger. Well I could have tossed it back but I do that most of the time

      2.20.17 Sunset Lodge Fishing Report Hello from the NW Angle! We still have lots of ice up here, however the snow pack is diminishing rapidly, especially with the warm temps and rain in the forecast. On the Minnesota side, fishing away from structure seems to be most productive with target depth being from 22-30 feet. Gold continues to be the hot color. The amount of perch we are seeing in our buckets continues to increase. Fishermen on the Canadian side are still reaching their crappie limit with ease, fishing holes between 29 and 35 ft. A variety of baits are producing including, wax worms, mustache baits and dead minnows. Until next week, Sunset Lodge Ice Team
