Best line for trolling Shad Raps/ Husky Jerks

Going to purchase a Shimano Tekota line counter reel for trolling Cranks (Raps & Husky Jerks). What type of line should I put on. I guess something equivalent 10 lb test since most trolling guides use that.

I like fireline, because I can feel if they are running correctly, plus I get the strength with the smaller diameter to get deeper. You are moving fast enough that them seeing the line shouldn't matter. That's what I use, I will let you know that snags with fireline are a pain and practically rip the rod out of your hand so set your drag accordingly.

I like to use powerPro line in either 50 or 65 pound test, using a 12 pound mono leader for walleyes. Sometimes if I feel like going really deep, I use lead core with the mono leader. Usually I don't have to use lead core though as I use very heavy bottom bouncers and cranks with large lips.
