Hi guys!

Finally got logged in! I've been reading your threads since early Jan. Thanks for sharing so much. My first Bside laker outing was opener, caught 3 in two days. It was enough to make me happy. Was back there last weekend for 3 days and my buddy caught 1. I Lost 3 though. Poor me!

It seemed like a tough bite to me. I was wondering how the Vets did. I heard reports the lake was on fire recently, like several 11 pounders, limits for groups, and even a 20 off Snowbank. I travel for challenges and know I have found one at Bside.

I recently acquired a lot west of town by the Kiwishiwi and plan to be a once a monther at least. I'm already looking forward to experiencing next year's bash and hopefully meeting you guys!

Thanks for everything! Apologies to Quickstrike for dropping in on his other name.

Glad you got some fish. It's alright, actually kind of fitting that your first posts are about Burntside and that Ely is where I actually aquired my nickname. grin.gif

Hey Wanderer: Welcome to FM. Great to see you here! grin.gif

I haven't hit Bside since the Bash weekend on Jan. 27, so I'm no fountain of current info.

I will be introducing a walleye buddy of mine to laker fishing tomorrow on Bside, and may be fishing Sunday as well, and will report how it goes.

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
