We were on the flat about a mile past Myr Mar Flats?? (Can't remember the name) We did pretty good on the perch and eye's in 31ft off the break. Our buddy fished the actual break on the flat in 25ft and did'nt even see a fish on the camera in two days confused.gif This was two weeks ago but, I would say try some deeper water. Good Luck!!!!

Ckiller, my son and his buddy are heading up to Mille Lacs fish out of Mir Mar today. When you say you are over at East, do you mean the east side of the lake or are you referring to a flat? I don't mean to be nosey I just am trying to help my son out a little. If you could give me a little direction that would be great. If you could send me an email that would be awesome. Rpoganski at riskwise (Contact Us Please) Thank you!

I grew up in this area and if walk in a ways  you can be all by yourself. Best time deer hunting can be during duck season when people are moving the deer.

Send me a pm for some ideas in the area. I plan on hunting Dayton and Monticello mainly but if those don't work out I need some backup plans.

I am with you, net_man.  I *hate* that I can't C&R walleyes in the fall.  I mean, what's hooking mortality at 6-12 ft deep with artificial lures in October and November?  I've never had a fish not swim away, and I can't remember one that didn't do it in a hurry.  Drives me crazy, as fall trolling on Mille Lacs is one of my favorite ways to catch fish.  This year, thanks to the weather, we did get out in December...and the fishing was nuts.  If only we had been able to be out all fall...   I wonder if the night ban in the fall (even if we haven't hit our quote) has more to do with enforcement than anything else.  I have no idea what's said at meeting I ain't invited to.
