Recoil for a Jiffy Legend

2 posts in this topic

I was out the other day and I pulled the rope on the auger, but it did not recoil. I took apart the recoil today to discover that I had cracked the plastic housing that holds the two small spring-loaded levers. My question is where do I find replacement parts other than from the factory? I would like to be able to drive somewhere and pick up the parts and get back out on the ice ASAP. Hand-drillng through 20" of ice is not as much fun as it sounds smirk.gif

I'll stand behind Steve's ice rods!   I was able to get a nice collection of them last week.  Some panfish rods that I hope to work out tomorrow, and some walleye/laker types that I used today.  Great feel, light, and well built.       I connected with a couple mid-20 inch lakers today and couldn't have enjoyed the fight any better on another rod.  Very happy!   Thanks Steve!

Not bad! Was the ice soft all they way through?
