coleman generator question

2 posts in this topic

I've been looking at coleman generators. I see a few on line that are the 1800ex models. I can't find anything about these on the coleman website. these have the subarau engines. are these as good as the briggs models??? this model is like 2250 surge watts and 1800 continuous watts. the other's I've been looking at are 1850 surge and 1500 continuous. does anyone know anything about these 1800ex units????

Ryan,

I just bought one of these from Home Depot. Starts up right away, not too heavy or loud. I haven't been able to use it a whole lot, but so far so good.

I have caught them on Vermilion when the mayflies are hatching in the evening by using a fly rod with small poppers or may fly type dry flies. Just cast to the surfacing fish. A spinning rod with an Adjusta Float with poppers or flies may work even better. Cliff

I have also wondered why there are no Sauger in Vermilion. I have never caught one there or heard of one being caught by anyone else. Cliff

Thanks for the report MNfan.  Too bad fishing wasn't better for you. Good weather at least. Nice to get out this time of year.
