Otter upgrade

5 posts in this topic

I have posed this question to the Otter folks but as yet have gotten no reply.

Do you guys know if it is possible to purcahse just the square poles for an Otter medium cabin? Since I already have the canvas, I would like to upgrade from the round poles to the square. I assume the canvas will still fit . . .

I don't know for sure either, but I wonder if the velcro would be long enough to accomodate the square poles vs the round poles? You'd probably just have to come up with velcro extensions...

You can order the square pole from Otter. I called them and ordered a set of poles that had gotten bent and wouldnt slide right. Just tell them you want a whloe set. I dont see why they wouldnt want your money. wink.gif

Thanks guys. Hey isn't it funny how some folks (I am NOT referring to Otter) seem to go out of their way to NOT take your money. I can think of several restaurants and retailers who, through shear ineptitude will never see another dollar from me when it would have been so easy to convert me to a loyal customer. Let's hope they learn the lesson of customer service and let's reward those who do it well!

Thanks for the ice report, Sculpin.  With the weather forecasted for the upcoming week, I'm sure I'll be up there next weekend, hopefully walking out from the northwest side.   van, yeah, I hear you.  I've been up to LOW a few times, and it is very fun to know there's the chance of catching a monster....but driving all that way for a bucket full of 12'' fish?  Not my cup of tea. I'll save the money and buy three dozen T-bones to make it through the winter. I'm sure people who know the lake better than I do have done better on the weekends I'm up there, but the reports at the resort we used were pretty similar.    I like the northwest side on ML because it's where we've been for almost 20 years, but it also has close access to sand, rocks, whatever weeds remain, mud flats, transitions, etc. The only thing we don't have up there is extensive gravel.

I'm curious to see how this works out. Do you plan to keep the battery warm while not is use on the water?
