Shore walleyes

3 posts in this topic

I've never been too much of a shore fisherman but would love to try to get into some walleyes this fall and winter. Just wondering what you would suggest for a rookie river walleye guy. Usually I fish around monticello but I'm always looking to try new places around here. Any suggestions would be great. I don't need locations just set ups and presentations would be great.

try the Coon Rapids dam either the BP side or CR..hit it in the evening with a jig and a minnow..have done pretty good in the past this time of year..gets pretty cold too so dress for it.

Thanks for the info. You don't use a bobber do you? I'm guessing I will be retying alot because of the snags. Is that something I can look forward too?

Any reports? I know there was a lot of people out there. The boomsite access was already 3/4 full when I drove by at 5 AM. I'm thinking about going out of blufflands park on Friday.
