Generally speaking guys will say 5'-8', But never more than 1' longer than your rod. It makes it too hard to net fish otherwise. grin.gif

I agree with end of the line on this it is to hard to net your fish if you have to much line out. However keep in mind when setting lines you do need to know you might have to net a fish so haw far is to much well determine that at the boat not fishing? Well good fishing to ALL shocked.gifshocked.gif..

Planning on bringing out the new boat this weekend, I will do my best at the launch to speed up process, but hopefully some slack is cut on account it is a new boat..brand new boat.

If the weather cooperates BC and I are planning on getting out on the North Shore this weekend.   With Mcquade and Two Harbors the only options I'm sure things will be tight till the Bay opens up and the South Shore a shorter run.  Be efficient and patient at the landings.  I lot of you know this but I'll repeat, when trolling in a congested area troll with the flow.  We'll be anywhere from on top to 20" down, just have to see what happens.  Lets see how many pink sticks I can manage to lose in one day.

Definitely one you must of caught early; probably about the time I asked you if you wanted some sunscreen. Nice fish, but man did you pay the price. Good luck with your sunburn man.
