Roy Williams

Did anyone hear that the great Roy Williams has said that he guarantees that the Lions will beat the Bears and that the Lions were so close to putting 40 points on the board on Sunday against the Seahawks it wasn't even funny. What is this guy smoking? Or did I miss something in their performance against the Seahawks.

I don't know if they would have put 40 points on the board, but I will say they looked ALOT better this year in the season opener than last year. It will be interesting to see how the Lions do this year. As for beating Chicago...I dunno about that? We'll just have to wait and see.

GO VIKINGS!!!!

Seeing they only scored a combined 19 against them last season I highly doubt they are going to put a 40 spot on the board this weekend in the windy city.

A FG at best...the Lions will find out just how bad they suck when they hit the windy city. shocked.gifwink.gif

BTW....Roy has got to be smokin' something to give Urlacher and the other Bears D more incentive to pummel him and his teammates!

I celebrate first downs all the time. I'm going to celebrate when I make a great play even when we're losing because the score means nothing. I'm an exciting player, I make great plays all the time.

- Roy Williams

Not an exact quote from Roy Williams. But a very close representation of what he actually said. Is it any wonder that the Lions suck with people with this type of mentality on the team?

Aaron

Personally I do seem to catch quite a few overs, some days it can be a challenge to find keeper fish ( stupid problem to have, huh?). One thing I notice is that all the fish seem to be very thick through out the classes.   While I was tackling some honey-do's I noticed that the breeze was a bit stiff, I'm sure it was a challenge to maintain a line or consistent  speed.   Over all was it a good day for you?

Nope that's exactly what I wanted to hear thank you probably will go to look at gander in forest lake to see if they have anything good left

There are good bass in Crooked too

Do you typically catch quite a few overs on fish? I fished it for the first time today and we got lots of gills and a few good quality eyes...The wind made boat control a pain.

I was up over the weekend to do cabin duties. I did get laker trout at cascade river Friday mornings it was 17 inches but made for great trout and eggs breakfast. Agree with maple bacon longjohn and Chet's doughnut. Also a must stop for me is trail center for lunch the 3 Cheese grilled cheese is amazing with a chocolate and peanut butter milkshake. Just look at this lunch

I second Crooked Lake. Super clear water too. I kayaked in there recently and was amazed at how many sunnies are in there. First calm wind day I get I'm gonna get the yak in there and bring my flyrod.

I woke up early Saturday tired and letting all the excuses in my head convince me to go back to bed. Cold front, high winds, clear skies. Screw it, I'm going anyway!   Glad I did. The wind was rough for yak fishing but I found them stacked right off a weedline and caught 7 bass within an hour on a stretch less than 75 yds.    Ended the day with the pig of a bass pictured and a nice Pike for dinner. Once the sun came out and warmed up the water I got action on the flats. That's where the big bass and pike came from. 8 bass total, one nice pike, a few short strikes on the flats. Wind sucked and what the heck is up with needing a sweater on the first weeked of Summer?!?! I'm not in the South anymore haha.
