The Moose Lk. chain is kinda' famous for Speckled Slabs. From the end of the Cabins North a guy can find them off most weeds at morn & evening on plastics, or live minnows. Where they go in daylight hours, I don't know.... Follow the Pike???

Try looking at small (round in shape) lakes upstream from large lakes, usually a good lead to Crappies.

Try Farm, White Iron, Garden, or Birch. If ya can find them there are some in Shag too.

I'll stand behind Steve's ice rods!   I was able to get a nice collection of them last week.  Some panfish rods that I hope to work out tomorrow, and some walleye/laker types that I used today.  Great feel, light, and well built.       I connected with a couple mid-20 inch lakers today and couldn't have enjoyed the fight any better on another rod.  Very happy!   Thanks Steve!
