Fishing is pretty slow on roosevelt in the evenings no takers last saturday. We did mark alot of fish in 50+fow a little deep for shad raps.

Not as many baitfish jumping as a couple weeks ago.

It seems that the fish are moving deeper as they seem to do after the hot weather. must be time to start jigging.

4-6" of snow this weekend on top of our new ice hopefully the cold snap early next week will keep making ice through it and we don't end up with the slushy mess of last year.

There is a lot of my fishing friends and captains talking about this new app called fishangler. The app is giving away$$$$ for 2016 cool fish pics. Has anyone heard of it and what do you think?

I was thinking the same thing.  Given the forecast, it should get locked up sooner rather than later.    Of course, it *was* nice to get out fishing last week in the boat.  First time I can honestly say I've fished the lake in a boat in December.  And if the quality of the fishing last week has anything to say for it, it's going to be another amazing year on the lake. There'll be plenty of fish caught, that's for sure.
