Pike Hole resort

Our L Rice experience is just "something else to try" usually when nothing was happening on Kitchi. We only did real good in there once on a school of huge gills. Other trips have produced nice stragglers though - some good perch, a nice bass once, a nice pike once, lots of small pike, and a few crappies a couple times. Used to mark lots of fish though on the deep side.

You will get details when we decide for sure on the date of our local FM gathering. Save up now...poker could be interesting.

Years ago, I was making the trip up river, and on the way back, almost ran out of gas. So I decided to fish back as much as I could, caught a really nice 6lb eye, and some small ones. This Barrington outing sounds like a good time coming.

Last May we had a fifty plus walleye day with Mr. Jones and decided to go 'up the river' after panfish with him the next day.

We caught several small norherns in the river on the way up, and started to clean up on the jumbos after we arrived up in Big Rice. Then one of the other boat members started to complain about "paying money to catch these little small fish". I'd have liked to stick around and clean up on the jumbos, but the complaining was getting out of hand. So we packed up and went back and trolled for northerns for a while in Kitchie before getting a double mushroom Swiss melt over at the 'Hole'.

I'll have to get Jones lined up to go crappie hunting again up there. I'm thinking they're up there.
