Faribault Area

4 posts in this topic

Just curious if anyone fishes the Faribault area? I'm thinking about going over to French soon. Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks

Rebel....Welcome to FishingMinnesota.com!

Mostly what you will find on this forum is people going to the north and east to fish. While the area you ask about is rich in water and offers up some dandy fishing, people just seem to gravitate to the other directions. We do not see much said about there on this forum.

You can check in the southcentral forum for accurate info regarding the Faribault area and get real up-to-date reports.

If you do make it there and would like to toss the info out here in this forum, you can certainly do so....it would be appreciated!

Again,Welcome on deck here at America's finest and funnest web page.....FishingMinnesota.com

I hope to make it over to Madison Lake and/or Mazaska some time this week, weather permitting. I will post on this thread if I do so.

Nice area to get the yak out in.  One of the smallies wanted to share lunch with me.

Fished spring park today, tried walleye early with no luck.  Switched to bass and managed to find a few in about 10 feet over weeds.  Caught most of them on a chatterbait

If you can bring your boat to shagawa which is close my friends up there are doing very well on eyes lots of small ones but pletty of eaters. Burntside is a not the easiest walleye lake but it is a night bite. If you like pout you can get some all summer long there. I like to fish near the little finger bays that have mud bottoms.
