The St. Croix Is A Flowin'!!!

2 posts in this topic

I took a drive up around the the St. Croix Falls area last night. There is a LOT of water flying over the dam at the NSP plant and the current around the Interstate Park area is very turbulent.
It'll be interesting to see what kind of activity this high water stirs up.

I hit the Croix north of Stillwater yesterday after work. You're right, Hammer, the water was flowin'! Lots of debris being washed downstream and many deadheads/stumps that are usually present were submerged. As a result, we ended up moving very cautiously to our little honey hole. OK, we only caught sheepies, but it was still a good time. There were only three other rigs in the parking lot so it appears that either people didn't want to get out in the high, muddy water or they were all fished out from opening weekend.

I'll have to try again later in the week. Godd luck to all.
