Leave 6-2 from the Chicago area. Hope those slot fish are hungery by 6-5. If not it'll still be interesting to see if the house on Peterson has been finishied after 3yrs and the new cafe by Ash river. Of course we're looking forward to seeing Phill Heart at Gateway and the rest of the good friends there. If you see a couple of yahoos in a blue and white Grauman from ILL wave. MWells

Mwells,
The water is warming up nicely, two nice sunny days in a row, and now rain today. I think the baitfish might move in some and provide some good slotfish action.

Where do you launch at, or stay at, maybe I'll have news before you leave. guts

We're over at FourWinds. Just around the corner from you. If temps are coming up there is hope. As long as there isn't alot of wind and or lightening we'll be Ok. The weather is always a challange anyhow.heck we have warm cloths, Rain geer, extra cloths and shorts packed. We are ready, I think maybe. MWells

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.
