Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

A lot of fish houses!

I think last Fri. evening had to be the most fish houses I can remember seeing on Big Kandi. in many years! I quit counting around 80! Most people seemed to be spread out so it wasn't too crowded out there. I did see a few small groups of houses but I'm sure they were more into the party mode. We thought the ice was pretty consistent at about 13-15 inches until a couple friends moved to the center of the lake yest. One side of the house had 8.5 inches and the other 10. They were a little nervous that the ice wasn't any thicker! Fishing seems to be pretty slow. Good Luck and be SAFE!!

My buddy just put our house out there yesterday and it might be a waste of time. He put it right out front of park 2 and i went up there last nite for a few hours and i have never seen such little walleyes being caught. I heard there was a better bite than that but who knows. Is there a better place out there that you would recommend?? thanks jamie

when diamond was hopping with its walleye boom the perch and walleyes were going nuts on kandi, the last 2 weeks have been dead sea for the most part becasue the introduction of vehicles driving all over the ice, mid jan blues of the bite i tell ya, cold front, warm front, etc, jan. is the worst for unprerdictable unstable fronts and thats why fishing mid winter sucks. Lots of people have come to kandi, and for the next month they will be disappointed with the bite, lots of traffic out there so the lack of bite is not a shock to me, and anytime you see around 80 houses on a lake the size of kandi, you should say to yourself, i should have been here 2 weeks ago, and not set up, but go to andrew, ella, elizibeth, etc. to discover your own little mecca, that way in 2 weeks when word is out, you have caught your catch, and moved on when everyone shows up. The one trump card in all of this is to fish the lake every winter and almost every day so you understand the migrations, or the rhymes and reasons to the fish on the lake, and then you too will catch fish.
