Lake Andrew

I will be vacationing on Lake Andrew the first week of August. Is Andrew good for bass? I'm a Southerner and used to bass fishing and salt water fishing. Can you tell
me what I might use for Walleye and Pike?

You should catch plenty of bass on andrew. Carolina rigs, or jig worms along the deep weed line should be productive. Look around the creek inlets atthe south end and the northeast end of the lake. We've had some good rains lately, and the current should be attracting some nice fish.

As for the walleye's and northerns, live bait rigs work the best. Leeches or crawlers on a spinner rig is the typical pattern. Crankbaits should produce as well.
There is a rockpile straight out from the public access. It's a nice underwater point that should hold some fish. Andrew is a great lake...you should have a great time up here...welcome!

I fish lake andrew a lot, mostly for bass, but i do fish for walleye and northern. For bass i like to use soft plastics(t-rig/c-rig)and spinnerbaits. Topwaters are effective in the morning and evening. the key to catching the bigger bass is to find the bottom comp. changes and changes in types of weeds.
As for northerns and walleyes. Northerns are very easy to catch. Either cast weedlines and flats or troll deep weededges.
For walleyes either troll the southside(rockpile points) or the northside(deep weededge).
