Members Only Fluid Forum View   08/08/2017

Fluid forum view allows members only to get right to the meat of this community; the topics. You can toggle between your preferred forum view just below to the left on the main forum entrance. You will see three icons. Try them out and see what you prefer.   Fluid view allows you, if you are a signed up member, to see the newest topic posts in either all forums (select none or all) or in just your favorite forums (select the ones you want to see when you come to Fishing Minnesota). It keeps and in real time with respect to Topic posts and lets YOU SELECT YOUR FAVORITE FORUMS. It can make things fun and easy. This is especially true for less experienced visitors raised on social media. If you, as a members want more specific topics, you can even select a single forum to view. Let us take a look at fluid view in action. We will then break it down and explain how it works in more detail.   The video shows the topic list and the forum filter box. As you can see, it is easy to change the topic list by changing the selected forums. This view replaces the traditional list of categories and forums.   Of course, members only can change the view to better suit your way of browsing.   You will notice a “grid” option. We have moved the grid forum theme setting into the main forum settings. This makes it an option for members only to choose. This screenshot also shows the removal of the forum breadcrumb in fluid view mode. Fluid view remembers your last forum selection so you don’t lose your place when you go back to the listing. The benefit of this feature is easy to see. It removes a potential barrier of entry for members only. It puts the spotlight on topics themselves, and not the hierarchical forum structure. You as a member will enjoy viewing many forums at once and switching between them without leaving the page. We hope that fluid view, the new functionality is an asset that you enjoy .

Thinking of fishing OT on Sunday, anyone been out? Is it so good no ones talking? Haven't seen any posts from Chuck so they must be biting.

I fished OT all weekend, long days in the boat. Fishing was good Friday and Saturday, and yesterday was a terrible bite. I watched some of the MWT weigh-in and a lot blanks and/or 1-2 fish brought into the scales by teams.

Did you make it out, jerkin? You picked the wrong day if you did. grin.gif I didn't see your boat out there....

Chuck I saw you out there but I was in the "Stealth" boat. I followed you from where 16 and 5 meet all the way to Tank and Tummy. Dumped in right behind you at about six thirty or so. We fished out there until about the third tournament boat crashed in on top of us, got sick of it and left for a smaller lake. Caught three walleyes on OT in about an hour. Very tough bite. The smaller lake we fished treated us better.

Really... Next time say hi! grin.gif

If you got 3 walleyes right away you were on a good spot. The bite was pretty much, well, no bite. smile.gif I hit lots of spots and could see the fish on the graphs, but only one fish cooperated all day! Not the case the day before, the day before that, etc...

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT WEIGHT WON THE TOURNY ON OTTERTAIL LAST SUNDAY AND LARGEST FISH. THEY SURE WEREN'T BASHFUL ABOUT CROWDING IN ON YOU WE HAD 18 BOATS MOVE IN ON US ALL IN ABOUT 200FT CIRCLE. NOTHING LIKE BUMPER BOATS. WE HAVE BEEN MARKING LOTS OF FISH TOO, WHEN THEY ARE NOT BITING. I PUT THE CAMERA DOWN AND SOME OF THESE FISH ARE SUCKERS, THEY SEEM TO LOOK LIKE THEY COULD BE WALLEYES ON THE GRAFT, BUT THE CAMERA SHOWED DIFFERENTLY.

Chuck looks like I should have entered that tourney, my 3 would have been worth about 500 bucks. Wouldn't have been bad for an hours work! We should compare spots on OT sometime. (IF you have some worthy ones)

Yeah, I'll share spots! All mine were hot until Sunday when the walleyes stopped biting! That's good because one of my hottest spots was filled with eyes on the camera and MWT guys parked on it all day waiting for them to bite. More for me another day!! grin.gif

Anyone on here been out on White Bear yet? I've seen a few people out off the Ramsey Beach area where the truck went through the other day but have not had a chance to venture out myself. Normally I hit the Belaire area early ice. Thanks!

wealthwood had1.5 last weekend, i saw no one out but 1 person on the whole west side last wsat afternoon. thi week the resorts on the north end and east are reporting decent ice. check with the resorts before you go out. id stay away from public accesses now and follow a staked road.

Dude, seriously just stay off the ice until its safer.  No fish is worth risking your life for.

Ice is scary on blue. I was out last weekend fishing next to open water north end is kinda sketchy still my buddy has been there every day this week. Still cant get close to the points only 1 inch there. Thicker by north end but its all older ice from the first freeze lots of cracks. The bay to the east towards the points and whole south end were wide open last sunday. Had 4 inches right next to it we fished as close to the point as we could get. We were 40-50 ft from open water and we got one eye. But ive never been so scared on ice before it was cracking very badly very loud and could feel the ice shifting. The walk back to access in the dark had my heart pounding and i didnt tjink we would make it back without one uf us goin through but we did make it.
