Man this weather sucks. I finally get to come up and fish and the weather stinks. I thought it was opener again.

I need the sun to come out so I can catch some crappies.

I actually cought one in 20' of water walleye fishing with a shiner.

most of the walleyes that I say cought were in 25' and on live bait other than minnows.

the other one was in 6' on a shiner.

This is as slow as I've seen it. I might have to bass fish this comming weekend, because I cought more bass walleyfishing than I did walleyes.

39 when I headed out this morning.

About the only benefit to it being cool is that a bag of ice in the beer cooler lasts all weekend.

No matter how tough things seem, there is always somebody out here to put things back into perspective.

Don't like to whine but this is the crummiest spring I can ever remember. Here it is the bass opener and once again we have gale force winds and rain.Thought maybe by not camping for the first time in recent memory for Memorial Day we might be blessed with some half***ed weather but nnnnnooooooo, same old **** .Really sucks for the workin man who has to narrow his chances down to weekends on top of it!There I feel better...I think...maybe. smile.gif

I'm with the beer guy as far as good things when the weather is this bad, absolutely terrible.

I fished last Thursday and a week ago Tuesday when the whether was nice for two days in a row. And the fish was good.

I was expecting to get out a lot the last two weekends and catch a bunch of fish but this weather is just a bummer.

Sun please shine, please, pretty please.

As awful as the weather was, 4 of us got out on an area lake for about an hour and a half on Saturday night (until the lightning arrived) & we had maybe the best fishing we've ever had. In pursuit of bass, we totalled 40-some bass (4 over 4 pounds & one of about 5.5 lbs) + 5 walleyes (between 16"-20") and a couple of slab crappies... all in the same spot! I think (& hope) that this is the result of so many people practicing "catch & release" with the bass. I wish it were law to release them everywhere, but to those who are already doing it... THANK YOU!

Don't take me wrong, I'm not anti-technology.  Battery powdered items will always have their place.  I'm mean you don't want your girl friend or wife in the bedroom playing for their gas powered adult toys!!  That would be a bit loud and smokey!

That’s right. My 84 year old dad loves his electric chain saw. Light weight and quiet. Besides, at his age he’s not cutting a bunch. Where as myself I want something with more power and heavier duty.  Look at how many people have switched back to gasoline cars after running one in winter if you travel a lot.   As long as my strike master works I’ll keep using gas. Maybe my next will be electric, but who knows,  you can find used gas ones pretty reasonable as others buy electric.

I think electric items have their places, I just don't think large commercial jobs are going to be able to work well with them. Can't see a logging crew out in the woods all day changing batteries!
