Ulterra Issue

My Ranger boat is a year old,.Batteries are good and charged up. Today my Ulterra would not deploy without a little help on my part. It stows OK. I had to assist it into the water by pushing it down. What is going on? Any ideas?

Sounds like typical Ulterra problems!

I would think that after being on the market for a couple of years now MinnKota would have fixed those deployment problems!

That is the main reason that I have not switched over to the Ulterra from my Power Drive model!

I recommend contacting Minnkota customer support.  In the past they have been very helpful with solving numerous issues.

Thanks guys.I made an adjustment to the drive belt before I went out this morning.It is working fine now. I am not convinced however that this was the answer to the problem. Am contacting Minn Kota. I talked to a local authorized repair guy today and he suggested lubricating the worm gear and keeping an eye on the belt tension.
