Thanks Chris!!!  As much as I know the date to apply by it keeps getting closer and I still forget to purchase it!!

I've gotten into the habit of purchasing my firearms license at the State Fair every year. I always check out the DNR building anyways so why not stop and get the license while I'm there.  Its a good reminder and it gets me in before the lottery.  Strangely there is never a line as well so I walk right up and get the license.

The only issue I have in the new permit draw is,Everyone that buys a license before the dead line in in the lottery. Even the guys that only hunt bucks. Dnr figures anyone purchasing a deer license that early wants a doe permit.
