Seton Report 2/24

2 posts in this topic

Well it was another warm day out on Seton. We deserve a break from the weeks of subzero weather. I hope all did well this weekend. I was told there was a bunch of trucks over on Black. Stay there we didn't have that many on Seton. I moved around early in the morning caught a few sunnies. Later on I tryed deeper about 20 feet started catching some nice sunnies. I was fishing only 6 feet down using a ant with waxie. Started to also pick up some nice crappies during the day. I dropped a minnow down running it about 6 feet under and caught alot of crappies. I think the final tally was 17 crappies some were close to 10 1/2 and about 37 sunnies. So me and my buddy cleaned a few fish last night. grin.gif

This weekend I am heading up to the cabin to check on it. Making sure nobody has messed with it. I will try a couple of little lakes up there that I like to fish. Well I hope everyone got outside this weekend it was nice. I did fish that Bass Lake contest I did not get one bite. cry.gif It was my first year i will do things different next year.Well take care everyone.

I was on seton for a little bit yesterday and was gettin small sunnies. moved over to black started shallower, picked up some nice gills, and moved deeper later and ended up picking up a ton of crappies most under 9 inches. kept 5 between 9-11 inches.

Yeah next week looks good for getting out. Hopefully the snow totals stay on the low side but at least its gonna be the light powder variety.

Thanks guys.  So just to recap so far, Nils and KDrill require adapters, which add $30 or so, but you can use them w/out the drill plate if you want to.  How about Strikemasters do they need an adapter?     Also, just wondering if there is any legit reason to pay $100 more for the K Drill over the Nils?  Seems to me they are about the same weight (ballpark) and both cut pretty fast.     Thanks again for the info fellas!!
