Frozen GE water Dispencer

MIKE IN lINO III

Question

I had one of those 5 gallon water dispencers up at the lake. I thought I drained all of the water out of it in the fall but evidentally not.

I brought it home a while back and put a water jug on it and I had water running out from the bottom. I took some of it apart and from what I could tell the water was coming from the silver cylinder in the unit. I will make the assumtion that I froze and cracked that unit.

Does anyone know if they are replaceable?

Where might I find one?

It looks like it might be a chore to take it out, is there a " repair" shop for these things?

Should I dump it and buy a new one?

should I stop asking questions?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Mike

if that silver cylinder is a filter it might unscrew by hand. then a replacement could be bought and installed.
