heads up on 2 day walleye tourney

just to let you know there is a two day walleye tourney that the eagles in detroit lakes puts on every year. this year its the 14&15 of june, the nite of the rules meeting which is friday the 13th (ooops) they hold a dinner for each of you which is a steak, potatoe, salad and rolls. they also hold a calcata and have a big fish fish pot of walleye and northern.below is a link you can go and see the rules and entry form. hope to see you all there because i know i will be there again, oh ya its held on big and little detroit eagles 14th annual walleye tourney

      I love these fish! The attitude is always fun and they taste great. The strip of y bones can be cut right out with a little effort.    I know where I'll be early in the morning May 13th with topwaters and swimbaits!

      Grubens did permits the 2016 season. Fortune bay stopped writing BWCA permits the end of the 2015 season. Sally retired and that ended the permits at the bay.  Some day we will be able to buy permits on line and print them.

      The video shown in the link posted above shows most of the fish they're handling going back because they're not ready or too green. The video was from 4/14 so I would bet they are done as that was 1 1/2 weeks ago. Cutfoot was done in less than a week. Cliff will be able to tell you for sure when then finished but I'd guess they were done by the end of last week.
