Any resorts in town offer this service? My father and I are looking to build a 10 x 16 permanent and are looking for a resort to store it at. Any info would be great.

Hillman's will store your fish house... I'm not sure if they charge, or what they charge in that case...

For wheelhouses, Hillmans doesn't charge anything as long as you use his access. Not sure what he would charge for storing a permanent. Not sure what other resorts would do for permanents.

Hillman's stores houses, along with Roger's Campground on the south shore. I've had my house at Roger's for the last 3 winters and Jerry & Joanie do a fantastic job.

I haven't been up to Red yet this winter but my parents have and there has been a freshly plowed road out to our shack each time they've been up there.

I'm sure a few other places store shacks as well but those are the two I'm familiar with.

Roger's Campground and Hillmans so far. I may have to give them a call. Any others?

We asked Hillmans if they could store ours about 3 or 4 years ago and they said they couldn't?? Right now ours is sitting at Hudecs.

Hillman's stores for a week or two during the winter. Not many in the summer as it is all campers. Up North Storage has room for fish houses. 1 mile east of Westwind.

Royce, how’s the sensitivity Is the tip soft like a tickle stick and how’s quality seem? About same price as a tickle stick I see may have to try one for next season. If It passes with flying colors do you it must be good! Tough day for me not much happening went from about 8-29 FOW and just nothing. Found perch in about 19 but even they seemed finicky and would only hit the dead stick. A bit windy on the lake today to!

Yes that would be the one. A friend of mine sent it to me. The guy who got it is a friend of his nephew.

So that explains the traffic and also the one where they were shooting video of what appeared to be about a drill type auger. Did drive by an ice team truck on the way out also.

The warmer weather has brought alot of people out to the area. We are waiting for the later bite. Most are setup in shallowet water. Haven't marked fish yet but tendto see them at sunset.    Be careful with all the holes being drilled! I found one that was covered back in, got my shin, luckily not my ankle.

Started out in 26 feet this morning and had 5 dandy crappies in 15 minutes then it was over. moved a mile and found a few dandy gills in 16 feet. And a couple bass.  Day 2 with the new rods and liking them more.

      I would fish them trees

So I should set my house in really shallow in on those trees?? Or stay out a little bit on the drop? Going to do a over night if that makes a difference?

Find them trees if they are in the water. I fished a lake like that and it was fishing the crappies in the trees. I had to use heavier line to horse them out quick.

Pulled my house a couple of days ago, but there are still a few fish biting at some spots. Very slow for me! Good roads out there yet as we plowed them after the last snow. Cliff

So have had this small lake on my radar seance last spring, was out there and got some really nice crappies a buddy and his dad got some nice northerns, so like I said small lake max death of 5-6 ft and that is pretty much in one spot but does kind of get close to shore where there is trees in the lake. So my thought is to sit on the edge and fish for crappies and toss out a tip up closer to shore??
