West side report

1 post in this topic

Got the house out on friday. 21 feet of water on a mud/rock transition. Half the house is over rock, half over mud. Fished from 2pm fri through 11 am saturday. Caught one 15 inch eye at 3:45, one 26 incher at 11pm, and one 24 incher at 8 am. Also got a 9 inch perch. Had the camera down for half an hour between 330 to 4 and saw around 7 walleyes in that time. Big blips moved through all night and day, some suspended 2-7 feet off the bottom but no takers. Im guessing about 40 walleyes moved under the house and we could only get three to bite. caught the 24 incher suspended 4 feet off the bottom.

Plus, resorts would love to have you, now that no one goes to them due to the closing of walleye fishing.

Must of been tough to sit there looking at the lake and not fish! Can't believe it was 60 up there today!? Not what I was hoping for. Didn't hit 50 down by the cities today.

Looking at staying at Thunderbird or Sha Sha resort.  We want to spend some time fishing the Canadian side as well.  How long does it take to get from there to the Canadian Causeway bridge?  I've got a Lund ProV with a 200hp and usually run about half throttle.

What amoerage batteries do you have? I finally got my gearbox back from clam this week..... a little to late... I am so glad they used us for product testing and ended up screwing me out of going electric this year, I am selling it early next season and going with the k-drill
