Well I wish I could tell you I killed them, but I cant today. Started on Boulder around 9am. I know thats a bit late but being my first time up there I didnt want to drive out in the dark.Went to a spot on my GPS saw a few fish and ended up with 3 crappies. They were a bit small for that lake. 10 inchs. Didnt see alot so I packed up and went to Fish and tried into dark. went out from the Dam, 15ft. and set-up. Saw lots of fish, most were perch.Caught 1 crappie about 7inchs, but a 30inch northern that beat me up a bit. Wasnt ready for that. Let him go, and stayed untill 5:30 with no more fish to keep. Great day to be out, weather was SWEET, and still enjoyed the day!!

Spent some time on Snowbank. Had a party of six and didn't put any onto the ice. One broken line (more like knot slipped) and three other hits. Did see one come up to my jig on the TV, but turned and left without showing any more interest.

X2 for the big minnow net.  I got mine at Wally world or FF for $5.  Bend the wire frame to fit.

You posted this on Friday so I don't know if by "next Saturday" you meant the 14th or this coming Saturday the 21st.    Osakis might be worth a look. Perhaps the Alex chain (Victoria, Geneva, LeHomme Dieu, Carlos, Darling.

I agree. Completely careless! My uncle could have died...  It broke though he said the ice was to the hood of the truck. He crawled out the window... The window was level to the ice.... He stood up turned around and he said "All I could see was the cab. I watched it for about ten seconds and then it sank." He is extremely lucky to be alive. He still likes ice fishing but he walks on now.

Fished 2 1/2 weeks solid for NP, and panfish.  Found lots of bites on larger suckers, but almost all were dropped.  Gold and silver shiners were preferred by all sizes.  Usually get the bigger ones on 4-8 suckers.

I can't tell if it has a second dorsal fin or not based on those pictures, it could be laid down onto the back. But from the looks of it to me, I think its a Brook Silverside. We sample these in central MN streams and the Mississippi River. If you were in Wright County, definitely within its known range. Just a thought based on the picture
